The Pow Wow of the Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenacki People is educational for both children and adults as well as entertaining.
Traditional dances will be performed to the Drum of the Red Hawk Drummers and Singers. The origin and significance of the dances will be explained.
Our trolleys will leave the Museum and travel along the 1.5 miles of track - which was the original route of the Warehouse Point/Rockville Trolley Line - to then pause at the festivities area to allow for your safe disembarkation.
Trolleys will be running regularly throughout the day. Ticket purchase will cover your de-boarding, re-boarding and entry to the off campus Pow Wow site in addition to all of our regular activities.

With your ticket purchase you will have all day, full access. Hop on an open trolley and check out the tribal encampment - the trolleys will be running at frequent intervals. Catch a returning trolley to the Museum's “Trolley Stop Restaurant” and have a bite to eat with us. Revisit the encampment, on the next trolley outbound, for more tribal dances, music and ambiance or just ride to the end of the line. The day is yours! The hazy, leaf scented, halcyon days of early autumn in Connecticut will work their magic on you and your family and you will revel in the beautiful colors of the adjacent, unspoiled countryside. What a gorgeous and serene way to herald the changing of the seasons. This will be a day to remember!
